2 Types of Training Offered Provided Below:
The Director of Clinical Services (DOC) Training course is designed to prepare Registered Nurses who are in the home healthcare industry. The program focuses on key areas of effective management and administration, while also emphasizing quality client care. Participants of the program will have the capacity to be successful in the position as the Director of Clinical Services, Assistant Director of Clinical Services, and Case Manager/Supervisor. Any nurse starting out working in home health, or home care and is currently in a leadership position is encouraged to purchase this 1:1 training.
Participants will:
Gain a foundational understanding of the role of the DOCS as required by federal regulations
Review basics of Medicare Regulations for home health agencies
Understand CASPER reports and what they mean as part of the CoP, Quality Reporting Program, and the Five-Star rating system
Examine the basics of QAPI in home health, including strategic planning, and the CMS payment systems.
Review the key steps of Clinical Care Management
Analyze the challenges of staffing your agency and review the key components of human resource management.

Serving as the DOCS in a home health agency can be very rewarding and extremely challenging at the same time. If you are a brand-new DOCS, new to home health or hospice, or a newly registered nurse placed into a DOCS role, then the DOCS online Leadership program will help you succeed!
If you are a new DOC, home health or hospice can be confusing. This session outlines the key federal quality reporting systems and explain how they impact day-to-day operations.

This Program will help you:
Understand the different payment models that impact home health (Medicare, Medicaid, alternative payment organizations)
Understand the DOCS’s role in providing clinical system surveillance for care such as safety, fall prevention, dementia care, infection control, etc.
Describe the documentation requirements for quality care delivery, OASIS, QAPI, and CASPER reports.
Understand the DOC’s role in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program requirements to prevent the 10 healthcare issues affecting hospitals, SNF, home health, homecare, and CMS.
