Director of Clinical Services Training:
Serving as the DOCS in a home health agency can be very rewarding and extremely challenging at the same time.  If you are a brand-new DOCS, new to home health or hospice, or a newly registered nurse placed into a DOCS role, then the DOCS online Leadership program will help you succeed!
If you are a new DOC, home health or hospice can be confusing. This session outlines the key federal quality reporting systems and explain how they impact day-to-day operations.
In this self—paced program you’ll gain the knowledge that you didn’t get in nursing school or from working in a hospital.
We want to be your partner in your home health journey. Our goal is to meet our clients’ educational needs that will allow them to grow, be successful in their industry, and meet state requirements as well.
The DOC is called on to lead in the strategic planning of the agency and supply costs, and inventory controls, and understand ethics, and documentation requirements. Following this program, you’ll be years ahead in your role to manage the critical business elements of the nursing department
This Program will help you:
  • Understand the different payment models that impact home health (Medicare, Medicaid, alternative payment organizations)
  • Understand the DOCS’s role in providing clinical system surveillance for care such as safety, fall prevention, dementia care, infection control, etc.
  • Describe the documentation requirements for quality care delivery, OASIS, QAPI, and CASPER reports.
  • Understand the DOC’s role in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program requirements to prevent the 10 healthcare issues affecting hospitals, SNF, home health, homecare, and CMS.
Staffing is at an all-time crisis in home health and homecare, and as a DOC, you carry the burden to fully staff the agency 24/7. Just like finances and budgeting, you probably didn’t learn a lot about managing human resources in nursing school. This program helps you to develop the fundamental knowledge you need to lead your agency to be successful. Learn how to hire, train, equip, retain, and mentor your staff.
We’ll cover the required CMS requirements for staffing that every DOC needs to know.
Optimal Healthcare Solutions offers a number of programs designed to provide DOCS with continuing education courses to meet CEU requirements.
