Serving as the DOCS in a home health agency can be very rewarding and extremely challenging at the same time.  If you are a brand-new DOCS/Clinical Manager, new to home health agency, or a newly registered nurse placed into a DOCS role, then this DOCS 3–4-month online  Leadership program will help you succeed! 

Home health or can be confusing for a new DOC. This session outlines the key federal quality reporting systems and explains how they impact day-to-day operations.

In this self—paced program, you’ll gain knowledge that you didn’t get in nursing school or from working in a hospital.

The DOC/Clinical Manager is called on to lead in the strategic planning of the agency and supply costs, and inventory controls, and understand ethics, and documentation requirements. Following this program, you’ll be years ahead in your role of managing the critical business elements of the nursing department

This Program will help you:

• Understand the different payment models that impact home health (Medicare, Medicaid, alternative payment organizations)
• Understand the DOCS’s role in providing clinical system surveillance for care such as safety, fall prevention, dementia care, infection control, etc.
• Describe the documentation requirements for quality care delivery, OASIS, QAPI, and CASPER reports.
• Understand the DOC’s role in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program requirements to prevent the 10 healthcare issues affecting hospitals, SNF, home health, home care, and CMS.
