- Create and execute a great marketing plan.
- Study the competition. How many home health or home care agencies are in your community, city, and state? How many people in your community, or city are on Medicaid? How many seniors are in your community or city? How many of them are on Medicaid?
- Create a monthly and yearly budget to manage your finances.
- Get organized.
- Make sure everyone in your agency is trained, and have the skills and knowledge for their job position in the agency.
- Know who your clients are. Don’t settle for everyone. Specialize in a certain area like veterans care.
- Don’t try to know everything or do everything. Be a great leader and let others help you.
- Focus on your strengths and skills, and place others who can help you in the right position.
